Deuces Wild
In this version of video poker the all twos can substitute any other card in the deck to complete a poker hand. Deuces Wild is probably the most popular video poker game, because at some payouts, when played with perfect strategy at full-pay, theoretical return can be as high as 100.8%.
Jack or Better
This is the most common version of video poker you will find, and the best game to begin with if you are a novice player. You may also see full-pay Jacks or Better referred to as 9/6 Jacks or Better. Payout begins at a pair of jacks or higher value cards. With optimum strategy theoretical return is 99.5%.
Tens or Better
This game is similar to Jacks or Better, but payout begins at a pair of tens or better, and the full house and flush payouts differ significantly from the above VP game.
Double Bonus
A variation of Jacks or Better with a bonus payout for four aces. A full-pay game at the best payout, 10/7 (for full house and flush respectively) has a theoretical return of 100.2 % when played with perfect strategy. Often, however, payouts will be slightly less advantageous (10/6 or even 9/6), so keep an eye out for the right machines!
Double Double Bonus
Another similar variation of Jacks or Better, except you get a bonus payout for different types of four of a kind. At the best payouts a full-pay game has a theoretical return of 100.1% when played with perfect strategy.
