How to Play
You play video poker on your own, just you versus the machine. Five random cards are dealt, and the objective of the game is to get a high ranking poker hand. Under all five cards is a button which allows you to keep or discard the card. The cards you’ve decided to ditch will be replaced during the second and last draw. If you have a winning hand, the machine will offer a payout.
Video Poker Hands
It’s important to know the winning hands by heart. Here are the video poker hands ranking from the highest to the lowest payouts:
- Royal Flush – Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10, all of the same suit
- Straight Flush – Five cards of the same suit in consecutive order, such as 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 of hearts
- Four of a Kind – Four cards of the same rank, for example four Queens
- Full House – Three the same of one rank, and two the same of another, e.g. 7d, 7h, 7c, 4c, 4s
- Flush – Five cards of the same suit
- Straight – Five cards of mixed suits in consecutive rank
- Three of a Kind – Any three cards of equal rank
- Two Pairs – Two pairs of cards of equal rank, e.g. 5d, 5h, 3h, 3s
- One Pair – Two cards of equal rank
