Tip #1: Do Not Play Every Hand

When you are new to the game, the fun and excitement of playing it may lure you in to playing too many hands. Of course, every starting hand can win a pot once in a while, but most of the time you are just dumping chips to the other players. So stick to the top starting hands and you will immediately increase your winnings.

Tip #2: Play Aggressive

When you do decide to get into the action, don’t be too passive. There are two ways to win a pot if you play aggressively: you either win by having the best hand, or you win by getting all other players to fold and pick up the pot. But beware!
