Bingo Rules

Games are more fun when you are familiar with the rules. In bingo, where chatting and a sense of community is an important feature of the game, things will run more smoothly if you already have an idea of how the game works when you start, so that you can focus on having fun and getting to know other people. Luckily the rules to bingo are very simple.

Getting Started

For some bingo games you will need to download software, while others can be played directly in your browser. Once you have an account you can purchase one or more bingo cards for play money or for real money. You can buy cheaper cards, for 10 cents for instance, or more expensive cards. There are many different types of bingo cards, some have 3 x 5 rows, others 5 x 5. Some games have 75 balls, others have 90. However, the basic idea of the game remains the same for all of these variations.

Flow of the Game

When you have chosen a room to play in and purchased your cards, the game begins and numbers are randomly generated. You cross these numbers off on your card until you have one or more rows full, the whole card (full house), or a certain pattern. Once a player has crossed out all the numbers on their card they win the game. Often the numbers will be crossed out automatically so that players can focus on the chats. Card Limits

The amount of money you can win for getting one or more rows or a full house generally depends on the bingo cards you buy. The more expensive cards often result in more prize money if you win. You can buy more than one card per game, but often there will be a limit on how many cards a player can buy. For instance, the minimum in a room can be set at 1 card and the maximum at 10.
